Copperheart Entertainment is one of Canada’s most successful film and television production companies. Founded by producer Steven Hoban, the company has produced over a dozen successful feature films, including Vincenzo Natali’s SPLICE, starring Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley which was the highest grossing Canadian film of the year, and the enduring cult classic GINGER SNAPS trilogy of movies. In animation, the company produced the world’s first IMAX 3D animated movie and the Academy Award® winning animated short, RYAN.

Copperheart’s recent films include: The Clive Barker inspired animated feature NIGHT OF THE ZOOPOCALYPSE (2025) featuring the voices of David Harbour, Scott Thompson and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee. CODE 8 PART II (2024), the sequel to the Netflix global hit starring Stephen Amell and Robbie Amell. The adaptation of Stephen King and Joe Hill novella, IN THE TALL GRASS (2019), for Netflix, which starred Patrick Wilson.

The company’s most recent television production is the Amazon Prime series adaptation of William Gibson’s novel, THE PERIPHERAL, produced with Warner Bros and Kilter Films (FALLOUT, WESTWORLD) starring Chloë Grace Moretz and Jack Reynor.
